Why is my PDF taking a long time?

Large PDFs or scanned documents using OCR may take longer. Most digital PDFs convert in under a second.

Why does my scanned PDF show less text?

OCR accuracy depends on scan quality. Clear, high-resolution scans work best. Low-resolution scans, handwritten content, or unusual fonts may produce partial results.

Where is my markdown saved?

Markdown is copied to your clipboard automatically. You can also save the result to a file, share it, or drag it out of the app.

Does ContextDrop upload my files?

No. All processing happens locally on your Mac. Nothing is sent to any server. See the Privacy Policy for details.

What file types are supported?

ContextDrop supports standard PDF files, including text-based and scanned (OCR) documents, and password-protected PDFs when you provide the password.

How do I refund a purchase?

Refunds are handled through the Mac App Store. Open Apple's Report a Problem page and select your ContextDrop purchase.
