ContextDrop processes files locally on your Mac.
The app accepts a PDF that you choose or drag in, converts it to markdown on-device, and copies the result to your clipboard or saves it to a file if you ask.
ContextDrop does not collect personal data, usage analytics, tracking identifiers, or document contents.
The app is designed to work locally. PDF conversion does not require uploading your files to any server.
The app only accesses files you explicitly provide through drag-and-drop or the file picker.
For password-protected PDFs, the app may create a temporary unlocked copy locally during conversion. That temporary file stays on your Mac and is deleted after processing finishes, fails, or is cancelled.
When conversion succeeds, the app copies the generated markdown to the system clipboard. Clipboard contents are managed by macOS and any other app with clipboard access may be able to read them.
